Repeat after me, TC is a BADDDDDD blogger, a horrible blogger. But you see TC sort of has a job writing, of all things. Believe it or not they even pay her. She is getting a disease from this though, talking in the 3rd person disease is the correct name she believes....
Her dog is only slightly less crazy as you well know. He is doing his usual thing here...enjoy.

Dispatch Practices Leave It

Happy 4th or actually 5th EVERYONE!!  Dispatch is horse and barks like a little girl (no offense to all the little girl dogs out there) from being in his crate and telling me he did NOT want to be in his crate @ his Daddies family reunion, OK his human daddy, his real one hasn't had a family reunion that I know of....
OK here's the gist of the whole thing, watch Dis leave it, I told ya he was a good dog and ya didn't believe me!!

Bichon Video That Daddy Doesn't Know It's A Video

The dog dances, walks, pirouettes, he does it all.  What is funny is the man holding the bone (Daddy is what we call him though no blood relation to the bichon or Mama for that matter?) doesn't know we are doing a video and he is waiting for the flash.  Silly Daddy....

Daddy has on his oldest jeans because we've been working on the yard (surprise surprise, that's extreme sarcasm BTW).  You can see the lawn @ Florence View and other interesting things.

Hasn't done anything interesting today so no new videos.  He did give me his bone grudgingly and growling trying to fake me out but it doesn't work very well if he comes and puts the bone in my hand when I ask?
So we will talk about other things.
Att has a new deal to help you keep track of your dog.  (OK it's 3 months old) it's a sim card inside of a collar, pretty good idea right up there with the blinkie collar which is sort of scary in the middle of the night.

Just because my dog didn't do anything today Chloe the Corgi tested an Ipad.   You can see more @ tested.com.  Which currently has an iphone in a completely sealed long plastic container that perhaps is not meant for an iphone?  It's actually a tech test site which I find interesting, the phone idea not so much.



And each to his own but a wireless crate that is basically a shock collar with a mat?  Wouldn't it be almost as easy to teach the dog to lay somewhere?    I'm not much on shock collars but if they had been invented when I had the Airedale mix that could jump a 5 ft fence they would have been pretty attractive.

Dogblog  has had a series of posts on different options for pet memorials from urns to mummification.  Mugseys  ashes are still on the fireplace mantle in their little gift box type thing.  For those who are new Mugsey used to be a major part of this blog, he was a yellow lab that looked like Marley, he died the end of July last year.

Bichon Frise Gets Crazy When He Goes To Bed

 Dispatch is my Bichon Frise as you can see, he gets REALLY excited when we go to bed. He attacks my feet, he attacks my hands, he hears things and barks. He gets so excited he chokes but goes to the EDGE of the bed to cough because he has been taught not to spit up on the furniture if he can help it. I swear.

Bichon Video, Possilby Most Spoiled Dog?

The bichon frise had been having issues with eating. He was afraid of his food bowl. Mistaya's mom commented that Mistaya's food bowl phobia was cured with a plastic bowl.  Dispatch still didn't like the bowl.  So we put it on a tea towel.  It worked.  I sound slightly looney in this video.  I said SLIGHTLY, OK???
This was taken on Saturday, published on Tues....I will keep you updated....dog isn't starving, husband says if he gets hungry he will eat....he did go eat the rest of the food out of the plastic bowl after the video was taken....

Bichon Video Being Loving

My Bichon Frise being loving, I think he wanted me to feed him some more or go outside.  The paper on the floor had had either yogurt and grape nuts on it or cottage cheese and raspberries.  He likes the cottage cheese mixture, the yogurt not so much....

Bichon Video, He Goes Slightly Crazy

I swear the dog is FINE. He just had watched enough bichon videos I guess and was conveying the pack mentality? Or mama's voice howling made him go off the deep end? Watch and see. Tomorrow a HAPPY video!!  I do think Bichon Frise are more people oriented than most dogs and therefore much more interested in videos and tv's and computers?

I used to have a screen saver on my computer that had a tapestry of a horse that would get bigger and bigger and bigger in little jumps, Dispatch the bichon learned if he moved the mouse that horrible growing horse would disappear for awhile.  I kid you not.
I took this video on my phone because I think I left my camera in my husbands big truck.  I showed the dog the video on the phone and he is like "EGADS!! That thing stole my soul too!!  When will the madness stop?"  Or something like that?
Then I played the video on the computer again and he had no sympathy for the howling dog, it had lost it's charm....

Dog Is Afraid Of Food Bowl

Here's the video of  him talking to his food a year ago.
If I hold the bowl up he will eat.  He goes in the kitchen where his bowl is and barks @ it.  Yes I could put the food on the floor and he would eat it.  I'm not a food on the floor kind of person.  He will eat out of plastic, he will also dump plastic bowls.  He is 6, he will probably face down the bowl when he gets really hungry.  BUT not until he tries to get me to hold it for him?  Not that he is spoiled, he also knows I have a supply of bones in the freezer and has learned to beg when I go to the freezer.....

I'm really good @ coming up with catchy titles that have no actual bearing on my subject matter in any truly constructive way? In other words people aren't going to be looking for memories on the search engines to come up with a video of a bichon and a lab playing but....that's the way I roll.


BTW, I don't normally say or even think that's the way I roll, it just came out. Maybe I'm ill? This is sort of a tribute to Mugsey, I was looking for pictures of Dispatch and came across these. Sorry they are long.. enjoy.

Oh and I know I'm not supposed to let the bichon latch onto my arm growling but it's soooo much fun and I doubt he turns into killer dog but you never know. Plus he has been fixed and he has to get his jollies where he can.... don't cha think? My brother says the bichon thinks he's like dominating me and preparing to hump when he grabs me like that...I think bro is just trying to gross me out? Bro would love nothing better than to gross me out horribly. He will be 70 soon (he's old enough to be my dad) and he will NEVER GROW UP!! Maybe I should tell him he HAS to get a computer so he can see what nasty things I'm writing about him?

Pedi Paws and Bichon Frise Video

My daughter gave me this Pedi Paws last night. Here's the video with the Bichon and the Pedi Paws, pardon the fat white legs and remember our family room is done in early junk, blob by the camera is an antique quilt on my dad's old office chair. My daughters English Bulldogs won't let her use the Pedi Paws, my nephew wrote a hilarious email quoting the TV commercial about the Pedi Paws and then said his dog wouldn't let him near him with it. Dispatch (bichon frise) "mouths" me when I brush him and growls, this is much better. He REALLY doesn't want me doing anything with his feet, Bichon's are sort of like really stubborn poodles or giant Maltese with minds of their own so this is an accomplishment. I've had to wrap Dispatch in a towel to get him to let me cut his nails, sometimes I think I just took him to the vet or the groomer to get his nails cut and the hair pulled out of his ears. Not that I'm afraid of a 17 lb. dog, it's just one of the unpleasant things about dog ownership. You have to understand too when Dispatch was about 6 months old I gave him a bath and was brushing him out, he started the growling thing and that was the first time he mouthed me (now I glare @ him and he quits), I had never had a dog do that and I yelled @ him and put him outside. This is a little white fluffy puppy mind you, he said FINE, and went and hid under the pickup and then sat about halfway down the driveway looking toward the highway waiting for his "daddy" to come home. I went and got him and finished brushing him after a little bit but that shows how stubborn he is. Anyway watch the video, he's nervous but it went quite well with the Pedi Paws don't you think?

Miniature Schnauzer vs Bichon

This is Fema when she was a baby, She's a miniature schnauzer.
and here is a video of the Bichon Dispatch and Fema, Mugsey the lab (as a puppy) and Skeeter the terrier are in it too. Skeeter was old in 1999 when we got her so guess how old she is now? She was my dads dog and he only had her for a couple years before he passed away and so now I guess she's my dog more than anyones.


Dispatch likes to act like he's tough but Fema and he do play honest, Fema is my cousins dog, our neighbor down the road breeds miniature schnauzers. The neighbors across the street have one too who comes to visit who is Femas brother.

Tonight my husband and I vegged out after working, we watched a Costeau special on PBS about killer whales, highly interesting that they are so socialized and watch humans like we watch them?

Funny Bichon Frise Talking Video

OK, you say dogs can't talk? Well he was evidently trying to tell me SOMETHING. Dog experts would just say he needed attention. He does this often enough I'm thinking he thinks he can talk and I can understand? You be the judge.

Oh, BTW I had been sick and this was in our office basement, my actual house isn't this messy and the dog is usually brushed (paranoid stepford housewife coming out in me, slap slap). He did have a haircut like a poodle because I thought he was one, long long story, go back here for Dispatch's story on how I figured out he was a Bichon. He just didn't make that great a poodle but he's a spectacular bichon!

Bichon Trying To Save Mama From The Vacuum

Here's a semi funny video I did this afternoon. I'd gotten up from my day off afternoon nap and decided I couldn't take the family room floor anymore and had to vacuum, remembered there was string in the vacuum brush from the last time I'd used it. The string is from a place in the carpet that the Labrador dug up when my husband and he were playing with the laser light, the lab thought he could dig the light up and get ahold of it?
Anyway the Bichon is distressed by the vacuum, I'm pretty sure he thinks we are not in control of things with motors that make noise such as the vacuum and the lawnmower so he must protect us. This is also the noise he makes when I get out of the car or leave him in the house if amplified 10 times.

The Dog TALKS!

Right now he is "talking" to the powers that be, growling and play barking, evidently they are outside the window and he is frustrated because he only got a bite of the grilled chicken breast I just had?? Oh, I just figured it out, the plastic wrap the chicken was in is in the trash beside me but he isn't supposed to get in the trash, check out the video @ the top or go to it here.
BTW I hadn't vacuumed, the blanket hanging off the chair is to protect it from the dogs.
