My Dog Talking To His Food

My Bichon talks, does yours? I really wish I could figure out what this talking dog was saying so I knew whether he needed psychological help or not or he's just spoiled? Ok, he's probably talking to me telling me just exactly WHY he can't eat out of this bowl he's eaten out of for years. We did have a time last winter when I had to put the food on a cookie sheet. Bichons can come up with some odd little habits for sure. The second video he's pawing @ his food, he does that when he can't eat it because it's hot or it's "scared" him for some reason. The dog is eating now quite happily and has scattered about half the bowl on the floor. There are two short videos because I forgot you had to charge new camera batteries before I used them. Duhhhh on me.

Also these pictures will be a before example for his grooming post, yes I groom my bichon @ home. For one thing he's not good @ the groomers, for another it's supposed to promote closeness between the owner and dog for the owner to groom his pet. Thirdly we live in the sticks, if I took him to the groomer and then went to pick him up later the time and money invested would be MUCH more than my time @ home so I will spend my days off mowing the lawn and grooming the dog. I haven't trimmed him fully for months and his brushing has been more miss than hit lately plus its rained every third day for weeks and he likes to spend time outside being a dog. We are planning a trip to go see his Daddy (my husband) the end of the month (more on that later on Florenceview blog). So my next post will be on giving the squirmy white puffball a haircut and bath, that part isn't bad as bad as the brushing out!

Sort of like, "Why are you not listening to me?" But the way he keeps turning to look at you maybe it's the attention.

Since I don't have a dog I only have my cat's actions to go by. She will walk to her dish, sit down, look at the dish, look at me, then repeat. With her, she wants fresh kibble, it doesn't matter that I did the same thing thirty minutes ago, "that's stale"!

Pets, go figure.

Hope you had a great weekend,
SQ

I don't think he would do it if I wasn't here, but then again I don't know. I asked him if he did this all day when I was gone and he gave me a buttbounce for an answer.
I worked all weekend, @ least it was productive? Off during the week for awhile and then I go on a trip. How was your weekend?
LOL on the stale cat food. My cats really prefer it if it's fresh, even if the giant bowl isn't empty they stampede to the feeding shelf when they hear the bag rattle.
Back to the lawn.

He is VERY spoiled,:-) but cute. What is Checkers saying to him? Giving him tips on WHY the white bowl won't hurt him?

I have video of Bailey talking just like that! I guess they both speak Bichionese! Such wonderful silly fluffs! Gotta love 'em!

Thanks for stopping by Bev & Bailey. I guess it is bichonese. I'm currently covered in bichon hair from grooming him, maybe I'll start speaking it too?

Hahaha, my poodle is just right next to me sleeping while I'm watching the video and when he heard the dog talking he suddenly woke up and I thought he understood what Bichon is talking about!

Welcome Hello I am Al. Dispatch (the bichon in the video) does that too, he keeps trying to find the dog behind the computer monitor and sniffing of it too!

I do that when I want my Daddy to play with me! Bichon proably wants to be hand fed or wants to work for the food! I enjoy working for mine! There are food dispensing toys you could buy Bichon which are alot of fun to play with! & it keeps us dogs busy!

Kimberly, glad you stopped by, sometimes I wish he wouldn't talk quite so much especially when he's complaining!! LOL
Eduardo we have one of those toys, he only eats certain pieces of his kibble though so the golden lab has to eat the rest off the floor or I have to pick it up. I'll have to load it up again with jerky and select pieces, maybe he will eat them this time?
