These HUGE list 98 breeders dogs are in need of RESCUES. They have been given their freedom!! However, many have already been pts and more will be pts sleep if not rescued.
Please when looking at this list, do consider taking an older one and not just the younger ones. It will be the older ones that get pts first by the breeders. We don’t want to leave any behind!!
We have transport to MN/WI and N. IL. We do not have tranport set up for the east or west coast.

These dogs need a rescue. They are sitting just NW of St Louis. These dogs need to move within the next 2 weeks at the latest and Im not sure they have that much time. If you think you can help, we would really appreciate commitments as soon as possible so none are put down. Health certs/rabies will be done and receiving rescues need to reimburse via paypal 10.00 per dog for that, ppwork will be provided.

Animal Stories And Links

A proposed draft of China's first law on animal welfare prohibits the consumption of dog and cat meat, with a fine of up to 5,000 yuan ($730) and up to 15 days' detention for the guilty.  This is from the xinhuanet.com website.  What are mine and Dispatches 2 cents worth?  I say it's about GD time (and I don't curse, much, out loud).  Dispatch says he's glad he's little and skinny and probably tough.  He says also if mama lost a little more weight cannibals wouldn't look @ her so fondly either but that's another story.

Labrador Retrievers are still the number one dog in the United States (according to the AKC) but Yorkies while being 3rd in the USA are #1 in New York City (I can attest to one house in Wichita Kansas that has this Yorkie Poo that is definitly #1) Nice foot Sis.  Phone picture but I don't think you've seen it yet?

However, it did make a jump from 64th a year ago when all the interest in this mid-sized, hypoallergenic breed began says the AKC.  I wrote about the Obama's selecting a dog if you are so inclined to self torture.  Hey it's my most popular post all the time so.............. no harm in mentioning it ad nauseum AGAIN. Bichon Breeds

This is a picture of my bichon puppy when he was like 6 or 8 weeks old. I know I have more, have a feeling they are on the computer I gave my stepdaughter. Anyway he was a cute little thing, if you want a dog to be a companion I can heartliy recommend bichons. In fact I'm on a bichon board which is a good place to go for information. The name is bichon.ca.

If you want to look further. Right now I have to quit writing because my own little puffball is demanding to be let out AGAIN to play with the cats. He calls it play, they call it being attacked.

I will soon have a bichon frise breeder highlighted on this webpage, she's just had a litter of the most amazing little white Bichon frise puppies you could ever want to see.

Back to the bichon breeds. First of all my bichon may not be a pure bichon frise although he looks it, he may be a bichon poo or another cross, he was supposed to be a poodle. Long story. I've had poodles, in my estimation bichons are more human oriented although my poodles were more farm poodles than typical poodles, romped with the big dogs etc. There are 5 or 6 bichon breeds depending on if you count the Lowchen. There is also the Maltese, the Bolognese, the Coton de Teulear, the Havanese, and of course the Bichon Frise.

Actually you would think from looking at a bichon they are sturdy cute cute poodles with black rims around their eyes that make them highly expessive. Poodles aren't even that closely related and I'm sure everyone is familiar with the Maltese breed which is a close relative.

I'll expand on all of this later. Just let it be said if you are looking for a companion dog a bichon can't be beat. For more stories of my bichon look through my blog, or go to bichon.ca, you will see what demands they make on your time and wallet. As far as I'm concerned it's all well worth it.
